Pastor Dave and Sonjia Braun entered into full-time ministry in 1982. After serving for two years on staff in a nearby church, they were asked to pastor in Porterville, CA. On July 15, 1984 they officially became the pastors at Believers Church.
Although the work was small (approximately 75 people), their intense commitment and genuine love for people was evident to all who came through the doors. All these years, they have chosen to passionately serve God and the church with great joy and steadiness.
Even now, after the sudden homegoing of Pastor Dave, the vision for the city and the love for all people continues. The work is not finished. Believers Church willingly embraces the call to make a difference in our community. To help each other "do life together" remains the primary focus as our church continues to move into all that God has for us.
